- [2017 Opera Gala Auction Items](https://friendsofopera.org/2017-opera-gala-auction-items/): “Boulangerie” A Stunning 12&#215;18 Photo, framed to 22&#215;28 Inspired by Edward Hopper’s iconic painting “Nighthawks,” this framed photograph depicts Parisians shopping for bread and pastries in the pre-dawn hours at their corner bakery. While the painting and the photograph share similarities in structure and light, they are contrasted by their respective themes, Loneliness vs. Hopefulness.
